In slightly more exciting subway news, the MTA will add television screens to the shuttle train between Times Square and Grand Central. The screens will apparently exclusively show baseball highlights, so you’ll be able to pretend to watch Jeter & Co in the playoffs while trying to ignore homeless people. (WSJ)

@... i don’t really know what the wall street journal was like before they sold out to yum brands, but i find the new wall street post to be hilarious. it seems like every other week they have a new, big, double-decker human interest junk story that is the written equivalent of a big mac complete with a nice tub of conservative mayonnaise to dip it in.
not quite the “all you care to eat” kentucky fried chicken buffet that is the new york post, but the potential is there. i’ll be watching these guys in the coming years, i think they’re really going to push the envelope…
(to be fair, it’s also worth noting that the nytimes has been sneaking in a fair number of awesome blossoms lately)
