Seek Fame and Fortune

Written by

Have you ever dreamt of being famous? Now’s your chance. You could grace the pages of our blue-toned blog as the star of one of our theatre reviews! You will be expertly critiqued by our crack team of Music Hum graduates, and cheered on by our insatiable comment section. Oh, and don’t forget—Bwog fame has its perks. You’ll forever possess tangible, published proof that you didn’t completely waste your undergraduate years, and you’ll be greeted at Milano with a slightly less agressive, “NEXT.” All of this can be yours, if you successfully try out for one of this spring’s theatre productions, listed below (CUPAL member groups only). Break a leg!

Tonight. 8-11 pm in Hamilton. Look for the signs.

  • KCST’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream
  • CUP’s The Cherry Orchard and The Shape of Things
  • CMTS‘ Bright Lights, Big CityThe Last Five Years, and the CMTS Director Showcase
  • NOMADS‘ SPEARS: the Gospel According to Britney

All other groups:

  • Orchesis has dancer auditions this weekend from 9am-12pm on Saturday (for last names A-M) and 9am-12pm on Sunday (for last names N-Z) in Studio 1, Barnard Hall.  Everyone is cast and dancers of all levels are invited to come!
  • Latenite submissions, director interviews, and actor auditions will be held the week of 1/29.
  • NOMADS will hold production interviews for Wordplay and Queer Voices / untitled from Monday 1/23 – Thursday 1/26
  • NOMADS will hold auditions for standup comics to compete in a standup competition on Friday 2/3
