Bwog asked what your living space was like this past summer, and many of you answered. Yesterday was Columbia’s official move-in day, though, which means we have to stop living in denial and accept that summer really is over. The following, one of the last in this series, comes from Ahmed K.

Where: Marsa Alam, Hurghada, Egypt

Sight:

Smell: Freshly baked bread and a goat that has been buried underground with coals, like the desert people do.

Sound: The rumbling of dune buggies en route to this Bedouin base, then lewd Bedouin songs throughout the night.

Taste: Sweet Bedouin coffee and the smoky apple shisha flavour.
