It’s finally Thursday! If that’s not reason for celebration, we don’t know what is. Chase away those lingering winter blues and celebrate the sun slightly warmer weather at Columbia’s Greenmarket! As always, the greenmarket is open year-round on Sundays and Thursdays and accepts credit, debit, and EBT.
There is food scrap collection for compost every Sunday, from 8am to 1 pm, and textile recycling every Sunday from 8am to 3pm.
Here are this week’s highlights:
- Spring is finally here and there are bunches of green in the market!
- Lavender by the bay is back to soothe you during the tense last few weeks of the semester.
- Lots of nice ready to eat products are available if you’re planning a picnic — fococcia from buon pane, pizetta bianca from hawthorne valley, and more!

@Ridiculous The fact that the market accepts food stamps is bs enough, yet they also give a discount to individuals on food stamps. What gives? It makes no sense that when I work for my money, I pay full price while the people whom I support get a discount. This is disgusting.
@Too much jelly... Just stop working and go on food stamps if you’re so envious.
@Anonymous look at all those vegetables i could put in my vagina.
@no look at all of those penises i could put into my mouth.
