@Beedle the Bard If ye want to learn the true meaning of GTBTB next year, ye have but four chances:
1) breathe pollution from the jersey turnpike with the band and go to the princeton football game
2) cumb with them on the odyssey to ithaca
3) endure the journey to the frozen wasteland, aka Dartmouth, with the band.
4) go to a not-yet-determined away basketball game with the band.
“we can’t force you to CUMB, but we guarantee you will if you do”
@wow cumb that is incredibly offensive that you would make fun of the v-show. do you know how hard they work? way harder than you slackers. and to boot, all the work they do is to bring the community TOGETHER not break it APART, like you.
@Anonymous the varsity show doesn’t necessarily bring everyone together with its intensity and exclusivity. it’s like a secret society. you have to interview to paint the sets!? seriously!? do you need a character examination in order to be capable of painting?
nonetheless, i have my ticket and will see you there.
@senior oh please…the joke is that the v-show has like a quadrillion dollar budget and most other groups on campus are holding shit together with duct tape and paper clips. poking fun at a true disparity does not equal offensive.
@Gavin McFrown The idea of “Orgo Night” is unspeakably offensive to the poor children of Gaza who can neither orgo nor enjoy a clear night. CUMB must be punished for their continued brash existence.
@Gurl Are you for real? CUMB has never trivialized the plight of children in Gaza, it merely made a slightly controversial play on words that every show
from Letterman to the Simpsons has already made. Good god girl get a grip (g^5). Stop being such a sanctimonious censor and get over your butt hurt.
@Anonymous I find this offensive because the accepted name for Multiple Personality Disorder is now, as of the DSM IV, Dissociative Identity Disorder. Do you even lift.
@Can I be real for a second Has anyone realized how much CUMB sucks? All of their Youtube videos have only like two or three thousand views and always star that one fat annoying kid. They also like to bill themselves a “comedy group” but like… does anyone really care about anything they do that isn’t Orgo night? Does anyone really care about them or support their work who is not part of their immediate friend circle? Can you really make Columbia-based humor that isn’t trite or tired (same complaint w/ The Federalist)? And not to be “that kid,” but doesn’t their reliance on being “offensive” and “controversial” speak to their inability to make sincere, actually-trying-to-be funny humor?
@i am also being real for a second it’s hilarious because I’m pretty sure with your glowing personality and sparkling sense of humor no one cares about whatever you do in your shitty free time

@CC '13 Can’t tell if trolling or just butthurt.
@Hahaha Offensive is such a strong word. CUMB and Varsity Show have a very teasing relationship, they make fun of each other.
(See: Varsity Show preview, every Varsity Show, most Orgo Nights.)
Why do we have to label everything we don’t like as offensive, Columbia? Why can’t we recognize friendly rivalry?

@Anonymous Whoosh
@i do believe that Gavin prefers the pronoun ‘we’ as opposed to ‘she/girl/he’
Also, obvious trolling
@Excuse Me I find that offensive to those suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder. We aren’t amused.

@Anonymous “The litmus test for the authenticity of a particular artistic expression can never be the people who consume it.”
@Irony? “Can you really make Columbia-based humor that isn’t trite or tired?” …so, the Varsity Show?
@fuck these guys I FEEL YOU
@Gone in 60 Seconds You know what?
I’m gonna be real for a full minute.
Yeah, that just happened.
@Don't look now But your bitterness might be showing
@Considering that there's only around 8,000-10,000 undergrads two to three thousand views per video is actually pretty good.
