On the third night of the Columbia Music Festival, WKCR is giving us Barry Altschul’s BRAHMA at 8:30 pm in the Lerner Party Space. But if you want a full night packed full of Columbia-centric music programming, the community has got you covered:
- CUSH is having a Discussion on Underground & Mainstream Hip-Hop at 7 pm in the IRC
- The Columbia University Haitian Students Association is having Ayiti Cherie: The Next Chapter at 7:30 pm in the Diana Oval Room, featuring performances by Haitian Jonas, Cruz-La, and student dancers and poets. Tickets are $7 with CUID and include a buffet of Haitian cuisine
- Sun Looks Down (Diana Flanagan, CC’15, David Su, Spencer Horstman, Jacob Sunshine, all CC’14,) and Zachary Ostroff, CC’14, are performing at Lura on 107th and Columbus at 9 pm
- To end your night, PDPsi is having their final DJ competition at Amsterdam Restaurant & Tapas Lounge (AmCaf) to determine who will open for 3LAU from 10 pm to 1:30 am. Featuring DJ Dwai (Andrew Jorquera, SEAS ’16), Double A’s (Angel Say, SEAS ’13), DJ Jonny Lee (Jonathan Lee, SEAS ’13) and Vonzie & Flaxo (Sean von Ohlen, CC ’14, and Nick Perloff, CC ’16)

@casual observer saw that band Sun Looks Down at beta jam a few weeks ago. they were actually pretty good, definitely worth checking out.
