Our BFF Christia Mercer is searching for someone who knows computers to keep track of the all-important Core Curriculum website. It’s a sick job, and we’re always happy to help the Core so long as we still have a tech team.
Speaking of which, email tech@bwog.com if you’re interested in joining Bwog Tech! Less pay, more glory.
From The Core:
Wanted: Core Tech Genius to oversee the Core Curriculum website of Columbia University. This will require an average of 3-4 hours of work a week at a rate of $18 per hour.
Necessary skills include: working knowledge of Drupal or the willingness to learn (quickly!), research experience (particularly with multimedia and image databases like ArtStor), some working knowledge of Creative Commons licensing (or willingness to learn quickly), a good eye for editorial work — both visual and text, excellent communication and organizational skills (both online and in-person), and interest in helping to develop Columbia’s Core Curriculum for a new generation of students AND instructors.
This work will be done in collaboration with the chair of Literature Humanities (Christia Mercer). There is a slight preference for students who could work on the project for more than one year (= juniors or even sophomores).
Please send your CV and a letter of introduction to Anna Couturier, amc2209, and Christia Mercer, cm50, as soon as possible.
