“Welcome back,” said Columbia as it threw twenty midterms and two term papers at you with all the grace of Rob Ford happening upon an innocent football. Antsy arts editor Madysen Luebke finds you non-Netflix/nutella ways to unwind.

All Weekend:

  • Don’t have the patience or attention span to watch a full length play but still enjoy live theater?  Then Black Theatre Ensemble’s Festival of Student Written One-Acts is the perfect show for you!  It’s running Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 pm in the Lerner Black Box, and tickets are a mere $4 with CUID.
  • The dance majors have been hard at work all year creating their senior theses, and now it’s time for them to hit the stage!  Go show your support for the seniors who have put their hearts and souls into these pieces by attending the Senior Creative Thesis Dance Concert Friday or Saturday at 7 pm in the Minor Latham Playhouse.  Tickets are $5 with CUID.

Thursday:

  • Liga Filipina of Columbia University will present their largest showcase of the year, BARRIO.  For just $10, you will be treated to an all you can eat buffet as well as sketch, song, and dance written and performed by Liga members.  Don’t miss it this Thursday in Roone at 7 pm!

Saturday:

  • Miller Theatre presents the music of Jean Baptiste Barriere this Saturday at 8 pm.  Although not quite EDM, Barriere’s compositions were some of the seminal works in the electronic music movement.  Tickets are $7 with CUID.
