Wednesday:
- The New York Historical Society is holding an after-hours viewing of their Bill Cunningham Facades exhibit, along with a screening of Bill Cunningham New York, all for free with an RSVP! The event starts at 6 pm.
- Columbia Stages presents The Big White Door by Claytie Mason Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 pm at Riverside Church room 5T. Tickets are free!
Thursday:
- Columbia Classical Players and The Piano Club are holding their second event together Thursday at 8 pm in the Wallach Lounge! Come hear pieces that these musicians have been working on all semester, and then join in the jam sesh and make music with them afterwards! Plus, the event is free!
- Miller Theater presents Tower + Bach, an evening of music by these two composers. So if you need one more performance to write that Music Hum paper about, get your $7 ticket with CUID and get to the theater for the 8 pm show!
Friday:
- Need a distraction from those impending papers or want to embrace the lull before the storm? PorColumbia is giving you the perfect chance with Rumbathon, a 2.5 hour Latino music concert with free food, DJs, and an escape from the stress! Just stop by Van Am Quad whenever you want from 5:30-8 pm on Friday!
- The Jester brings you the Second Annual Varisty Show! What’s that? It’s not the Varsity Show, but instead a chance for you to see just what comedy at Columbia is all about! The lineup will include many of the student improv groups and the evening will end with a set by Mike Lawrence (Conan, John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Comedy Central Half Hour). Tickets are free, just get to the Lerner Black Box by 8 pm!
Saturday:
- Catch some dance this semester at Orchesis’s Spring Showcase SupercalifragilisticexpealidOrchesis! See some of the most talented dancers on campus bring student-choreographed pieces to life in Roone Saturday at 8 pm and 11pm. Tickets will go fast, so get yours for only $7 with CUID before they’re all gone!
- Need some more dance in your weekend? Catch Here: A Multimedia Dance Journey at 3 pm and 7 pm Saturday in the Glicker-Milstein Theater. This evening length dance work was created by two Barnard seniors, and will explore “places on Earth, places in time, and places we’ve all been in our hearts and minds.” Tickets are $5 with CUID.
- The ladies of CU Bellydance will be performing their original choreography in Hipnotic this Saturday at 6 pm in the Lerner Black Box. Tickets are $5 with CUID.
