A 2 a.m. food cart run, but during the day.
Most of us may not be on campus anymore, but Morningside Heights stops for no one. In the time you’ve been having exciting summer adventures watching Netflix in your bed, here are some of the things you’ve missed:
- The Halal Guys are transitioning to a chain restaurant, and the second location is planned to open near Columbia in the fall. (NYT)
- The New York Times did its own roundup of university commencement speeches, which includes a transcript of Columbia College’s class day speech by Dan Futterman (CC ’89). (NYT)
- Public Safety sent us all an email supporting the NYPD’s recent arrest of over 100 suspected gang members, but some student groups were disturbed by the tone and content of the message. (TALK)
