President Obama has officially taken a stand on net neutrality. It’s good to know the President wants all websites treated equally. About the Internet: “…it has been one of the most democratizing influences the world has ever known.” (LA Times)

Columbia may wage a war on drugs, but the NYPD just got a bit more lenient. Cops will no longer arrest you for minor possession of marijuana (less than 25 grams), instead hitting you with a $100 fine and a summons for the first violation. Said Rev. Al Sharpton in response: “I feel that the police ought to concentrate on things of importance rather than things that are now being legalized in many places around the country.” Caveat: Being found smoking can still lead to an arrest.  (NY Daily News)
