If you’ve been reading the weekly sports updates, you know that our field hockey team is on a tear this season. They’ve won six in a row, and they own a 5-1 Ivy record, capstoned by the program’s first ever win over the powerhouse of Princeton. This Saturday, they play Harvard in Cambridge, and if they win, they clinch the Ivy title and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. If they lose, a fantastically convoluted set of tiebreakers could mean a Princeton title defense, a Columbia Ivy championship, or a Columbia-Cornell random draw. All this is to say that this game might be the most important for any sport in the fall season.

Columbia University wants you to cheer on the Lions, but understands that a fan bus to Massachusetts wouldn’t be very popular. So, come watch #23 Columbia play Harvard tomorrow at 11:30 AM in the Lou Gehrig Lounge (Dodge Fitness Center, third floor). There will be a live stream of the game, and (maybe) more importantly, free food! A win would tie a program record for total wins (13) and set records for most Ivy wins (6) and longest winning streak (7). Come steal some food from Columbia and cheer on the team!
