A 16-year-old high school student from Maryland died on Saturday at a Prince George’s County gas station after becoming suddenly ill on a school field-trip. Medics pronounced Okon Ntekim, 16, dead only minutes after finding him to be unresponsive. (NBC Washington)
Everyone’s favorite early 2000’s rapper, Nelly, was arrested on drug charges in Tennessee on Saturday after highway patrol officers found marijuana and handguns in the vehicle he was riding in. Officers began to suspect something was awry after Nelly would only respond to questions in lyrics from his hit 2002 single “Hot In Herre.” (NBC)
The Saturday shooting that caused the shutdown of the U.S. Capitol has not been called a terrorist attack, but has been deemed a suicide after an unidentified male walked into a public area and shot himself in front of “dozens of onlookers, including some young children.” (CNN)
