The second Senior Night of the year is tonight, and the add/drop deadline is on Friday. Now is the moment of truth: are you going to sleep through your 8:40 tomorrow? Might as well drop it before you actually have to do anything for the class. Here’s a playlist for the drudgery of the school week…hey, at least the weekend starts tomorrow!
- D a H J A by Marz Léon – A song for when you can no longer bring yourself to “soak in all the bullshit” of your 8:40 lecture (too bad it’s a major requirement!).
- The Arrested by Sonic Deadhorse (feat. Aristophanes) – Listen to this eerie and arresting song when you wake up halfway through your class that actually takes attendance.
- March and Canzona in C Minor, Z. 860: March by Henry Purcell, Oxford Camerata, and Jeremy Summerly – A funeral march for your walk to class (if you end up getting out of bed).
- Nikes by Frank Ocean – A dreamy tune for your morning haze.
- Stranger Things by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein – Sry, had to.
- All My Friends by Snakehips, Tinashe, and Chance the Rapper – Should you go to Senior Night with all your friends, or go to bed early so you can actually wake up for class?
- Perfect Illusion by Lady Gaga – Our “guessing game is strong” when it comes to reading quizzes in seminar.
- Pick Up the Phone by Young Thug & Travi$ Scott – “Pick up the phone, baby. I know you’re home, baby”–a song for when your suitemate is trying to get you up for class.
- Shut Up Kiss Me by Angel Olsen – “I could make it all disappear,” you think as your finger hovers over the “drop class” button on SSOL.
- Kifak Inta by Fairuz – A melancholy song about lost love and lost opportunities–hey, maybe you would have liked that 8:40 class on computer systems!
- Nights by Frank Ocean – “Time to start your day, bruh.” Enough said.
