Do you know someone graduating this semester that you think should pass their wisdom down to countless generations of Columbians (until our servers crash forever)? You should nominate them for a Senior Wisdom!

Hey, you! Yes, you, the person reading this post. You probably should be working on assignments for your last week of class, or studying for your finals, or filling out class evaluations. But instead, due to some miracle (or perhaps sheer desperation), you’ve elected to waste your time on Bwog as you attempt to stave off the impending dread of the final weeks of classes. Good for you!

While you’re here, continue procrastinating and think about all the people you’ve met or befriended during your time at Columbia. Do you know someone in GS/CC/Barnard/SEAS who went above and beyond to make you feel welcome on campus? Who poured their heart and soul into a campus organization or cause? Who always crushed their exams or threw a wild party everyone still talks about to this day? Is this person you’re thinking of graduating this semester (Fall 2019)? If you answered yes to one or more of those questions (particularly the last one), you should nominate them for a Senior Wisdom!

For first years, transfers, or anyone otherwise not in the know, Senior Wisdoms are one of Bwog’s most sacred traditions. Each semester, we call on graduating seniors from Columbia’s four undergraduate schools to reflect on their time here in Morningside Heights, give advice to their younger classmates, and answer some of the universe’s most pressing questions. If you know someone who fits the bill, you can give us their name, uni, school, and why you think they deserve a Senior Wisdom by December 9, 2019 using our 100% anonymous Google form or by shooting an email to tips@bwog.com. We cannot emphasize this enough: this is only for seniors graduating in Fall 2019 (aka at the end of this semester) and the deadline is Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11:59 pm.  Any nomination submitted after that time or that doesn’t fit the criteria listed above will be immediately yeeted into the Arctic Circle.
