Senior Staff Writer Miyoki Walker would like you to know you were hella wrong for what you did.

I study in this same space at least four days out of the week and never have I experienced something like this.

I know you want complete silence for your studying, but let’s refer back to the signs posted on literally every wall in Milstein. They state, and I quote, “feel free to work in groups or by yourself. Talking is ALLOWED and ENCOURAGED.” Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t interpret that to mean “talking is only allowed if the person sitting at the desk in front of you is okay with it.” Maybe I’m way off base here! Maybe I’ve completely forgotten how to read! I don’t know!

Or maybe YOU are mistaken. Maybe YOU are the problem. Maybe what you said to me was uncalled for.  Perhaps you should try studying on the third or fourth floor, where talking is DISCOURAGED. That sounds like the place for you.

I know you walked away thinking you taught me a lesson and that I feel bad for what I did but I can assure you: you did not, I have no remorse, and I have learned no lessons. I was only silent when you walked away because honestly, you scared the shit out of me. Really, you are the one disturbing my peace, not the other way around.

From now on, I’m going to talk even louder. Go fucking bananas. WILD OUT. Just for you.

Kisses,

Miyoki
