Happening in the World: In Stockholm,  scientists Roger Penrose, Reinhard Genzel, and Andrea Ghez were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for their work on blackholes. The three discovered the existence of a supermassive blackhole in the middle of the Milky Way and were given approximately $1.1 million as a prize. Andrea Ghez is now the fourth woman to be awarded the Nobel in physics (CNN). 

Happening in the US: Claudia Conway, the 15 year old daughter of Kellyanne Connway, was trending on Twitter for exposing that the President isn’t doing as well as he says he is on her TikTok account. Claudia is being called a whistleblower and inside source by many on the internet, especially those in gen-z who frequently keep up with her progressive content. (Elle).

Happening in NYC: In response to Governor Cuomo’s decision to shutdown schools in hotspot areas of coronavirus, Catholic school parents are protesting the right to keep up in-person learning. Parents say they’re concerned for the mental health of their children and advocated for the safety of the schools (CBS).
