Your eyes are begging for rest. Rest them.
Bwogline: On Wednesday, the European Union proposed an embargo on all Russian oil. The proposal would cease all crude oil imports within the next six months and all refined oil imports by the year’s end. The proposal is a large step in ending Europe’s dependence on Russia for fossil fuels. Russian oils sales to Europe make about $310 million per day, and ceasing them may cause shortages and higher fuel prices, according to analysts. (NYT)
Study Tip: Give your eyes a break! Studying probably means staring at a lot of screens for you, a modern individual. Decrease the risk of eye strain by taking at least five minutes to close your eyes without looking at your laptop, phone, or books.
Music of the Day: Lately, I’ve been listening to “Passion” by PinkPatheress a lot. It’s pretty short (Because, you know…it’s PinkPantheress.) but it’s mellow enough to not be super distracting, and it can also serve as some great packing-up-and-moving-out music.
Procrastination Tip: Start packing your things! If you live on campus or just won’t be in New York this summer, this is a great way to use up your time and still feel productive.
Overseen/Overheard: I was walking through the John Jay lobby and mid-eavesdropping, I heard, “Yeah, I need you to repeat that, I only got 30 minutes of sleep this morning.” I’m not really sure if that was a nap or their total night’s sleep, but it’s relatable, I guess.
