Students from sunny California

Had never seen snow.

Yet they longed for the icy water,

And to see a snowflake falter.

“Ah it’s snowing,”

They yelled in delight. 

“The weather app would never tell us a wrong sight.”

They buttoned their coats

And dawned their hats.

They ran outside and exclaimed,

“Oh my gosh! Look at the sky!”

As the snowflakes fell down,

They laughed and cheered and sighed.

For the first time in their life,

They saw snow outside.
