The Campus Cold is afoot.

Happening off-Campus: The Primetime Emmys ceremony was held last night at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Netflix’s Adolescence dominated the miniseries category, winning best series, best, actor, and best supporting actress. The Studio and The Pitt led in other categories, with the latter taking home the best drama series award. Other notable moments include a win for Stephen Colbert’s recently-cancelled The Late Show, and Tramell Tillman’s best supporting actor in a drama win, which marked the first time a black man has won in that category. Happening near Campus: Two New Yorkers have tested positive for the measles virus. City health officials have issued potential exposure warnings, but maintain that the risk to the public remains very low as all five boroughs have vaccination rates high enough for herd immunity to the disease. In light of recent direction from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s health department to reduce access to the the measles vaccine, a City health spokesperson reminded parents to vaccinate their children against the virus. (Gothamist)

Happening on Campus: Alice! Health Promotion is hosting a virtual workshop on responsible alcohol and substance use today from 12 to 1 pm. Participants will learn about the effects of alcohol on the body, protective behaviors to utilize while drinking, and discuss ways in which parties can be hosted in a smart, safe, and responsible manner.

Field Note: The time has officially come for everyone to get sick at the same time! Currently fighting for my life to avoid the dreaded waking up with a sore throat.
