The Columbia Elections Commission released the results of the Fall 2025 CCSC and ESC elections this Monday in an email to CC and SEAS students.
On Monday, October 27, the Columbia Elections Commission (CEC) released the results of the Fall 2025 Columbia College Student Council (CCSC) and the Engineering Student Council (ESC) elections. In addition to the elected positions, Columbia College students voted on a referendum of three questions, none of which passed due to insufficient voter participation.
Below are the results for CC 2029 Class Council, ESC 2029 Class Council, CCSC At-Large, ESC At-Large, and the CCSC Referendum.
CC 2029 Class Council
- President: Nick Lima (Nick and Lindsey)
- Vice President: Lindsey Lee (Nick and Lindsey)
- Representatives: Nikita Pande (Party 4 You), Truman Dickerson (Party 4 You), Katelyn Smith (CROWN)
SEAS 2029 Class Council
- President: Ethan Ovbiagele (Lion’s Voice)
- Vice President: Adriana Montes Lopez (Lion’s Voice)
- Representatives: Varsha Makkapati (Lion’s Voice), Sahana Bawa (Made it Out the Mudd)
CCSC At Large
- Academic Affairs Representative: James Coppersmith
- Disability Services Representative: Vera Malkova
- Religion Representative: Albaraa Gebril
- Community Liaison Representative: Austin Choi
ESC At Large
- First Generation Low Income Representative: Adriana Sparks
- Student Groups Representative: Liam Smith
- Gender Identity and Sexuality Issues Representative: Sydney England
- Disability and Accessibility Issues Representative: Katherine Brown
CCSC Referendum
No referendums were passed due to the CCSC constitution’s requirement that a minimum of 30% of the student body participate in the vote. As a result, the referendum responses function only as a survey. Voters were polled on three questions.
- Removing CUID Swipe Requirement at Gates: 66.94% of participants voted yes, 33.06% voted no, and 7.00% abstained.
- Student Representation on Presidential Search Committee: 84.10% of participants voted yes, 7.31% voted no, and 8.59% abstained.
- Excused Mental Health Days: 82.31% of participants voted yes, 9.74% voted no, and 7.95% abstained.
