Happening off-Campus: The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered a 4% reduction in flights at 40 high-traffic airports to reduce strain on air traffic controllers, who have been working without pay since the start of the government shutdown. According to FY 2024 figures, the mandate will result in the cancellation of about 220 flights per day—a number expected to rise to about 4,400 over the coming week. (NBC)
