Zhang was accused of “grave violations of discipline and the law.” This move is considered part of President Xi’s moves to oust disloyalty in the Chinese military, but was unexpected due to the close relationship between Zhang and Xi. Happening near Campus: A new law institutes tipping rules for online food ordering in New York City. A federal judge in Manhattan ruled that starting Monday, users on apps such as DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub must be shown the tip option while placing their order, with the default set at 10% or higher. Critics of the food delivery apps practices claimed that showing the tipping option after checkout cost workers over $550 million. (Gothamist)
