Happening off-Campus: Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter on Monday, February 2, dashing all our hopes of warmer weather soon. His prediction based on the fact that he saw his shadow was translated by his handlers in the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club at Gobbler’s Knob in western Pennsylvania. Among the other formal and informal Groundhog Day events that took place in the United States and Canada, all reported six more weeks of winter. Besides groundhogs, six more weeks of winter were also credited to an armadillo, ostriches, and Nigerian dwarf goats. (AP News)
