Happening Off-Campus: It is speculated that President Trump and the US government are planning an economic deal with Cuba. The official deal has not been announced yet, but there are mentions of loosening restrictions for American citizens traveling to Havana. Trump spoke publicly, stating that Secretary of State Marco Rubio is in conversation with the Cuban government. After US interventions in Venezuela, there is a high possibility that Cuba could be the next target for increased US influence, as Trump said, “As we achieve a historic transformation in Venezuela, we’re also looking forward to the great change that will soon be coming to Cuba.”(USA Today)
