Stats:

In the 2025 lottery, 8 seniors, 35 juniors, and 12 sophomores picked Elliot, but a substantial number got in afterwards through the Guaranteed Housing list.

Bwog recommendation:

There are many horror stories about Elliot, but it is not a bad option for those who don’t mind not being in a suite. Having corridor bathrooms and a common lounge comes with the plus of not having to clean your area, and having a nice common space to go to if you ever want somewhere aside from your room or dorm! Its proximity to Riverside also makes it really nice, as you are so close to the park for a quick stroll or picnic. The Milstein entrance is also right across from Elliot, so while it is closed on weekends, it definitely means you can wake up 10 minutes before class and still get there on time. While the dorm is a consolation prize for most people who get it, it really is not the worst option, especially if you have a single.

Resident opinions:

  • “Elliott isn’t the worst place I’ve ever lived. The construction at 8 am on Saturdays was super annoying, but my floor had good vibes, and we all got along pretty well. Also, I liked not having to clean the bathrooms and kitchen (shoutout hallway dorms).”
  • “Definitely one of the best (slightly forced) decisions I’ve ever made! Everyone here is so chill and friendly.”
