Happening Off-Campus: On April 6, 2026, Artemis II begins to return back to Earth after its sixth day of its journey. The Artemis program is led by NASA and the mission’s goal is to test out the life support system and other systems of Orion, the vehicle the astronauts are flying in. The Astronaut crew, which consisted of three Americans and one Canadian, performed a flyby of the moon, seeing parts of the moon that has never been observed with the human eye. (New York Times)
Happening Near Campus: Check out the cherry blossoms that are in bloom in Central Park! Although the cherry blossoms can be found in Central Park, with the reservoir with the best blooms- according to K Satterthwaite, tree care manager at the Central Park Conservancy. Other locations around Manhattan include the Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, and Sakura Park in Manhattan and Union Square. (Gothamist)
