Nemo postponed quite a few sporting events this past weekend, but some Columbia teams couldn’t be deterred by the weather in a way that would make the postal service proud. Women’s Swimming & Diving trumped Princeton 194-104 in a home finale honoring seniors. The 200 medley relay broke the school and pool record, and Alena Kluge, Katie Meili, and the 200 free relay also broke pool records. After falling in a close game to Dartmouth, Men’s Basketball rebounded by beating Harvard and ending the seven-game losing streak to the Crimson dating back four years. Meanwhile, the former men’s soccer coach Dieter Ficken was honored at the NYC Soccer Gala as someone who proved formative in the city’s history of the sport.
