My name is Lauren Ko and I am the president of Student Global AIDS Campaign (formerly known as Global Justice).  The reason why I am reaching out to you is because I would like you to encourage your board/general body members to attend our upcoming event!

This Wednesday night (2/17), our group will be hosting a dinner and discussion with Dr. Robert Fullilove, from the Mailman School of Public Health.  Dr. Fullilove spoke at one of our events last year, and I can ensure you that he is incredible– insightful, engaging, and full of information. He will be discussing how the African nations involved in the slave trade in the Western Hemisphere ended up as the nations with the highest infection rates in the world.  The dinner and discussion will provide its guests with free Thai food! All the groups on this email chain are dedicated to the goal of social progress in some way, and our group feels it’s very important for us to provide support for one other.
