Near the city of Kanpur, Fourteen carriages of Indore-Patna Express derailed just after 03:00 local time on Sunday. Designer Sophie Theallet refuses to dress the soon-to-be first lady, Melania Trump, because “the rhetoric of racism, sexism, and xenophobia unleashed by her husband’s presidential campaign are incompatible with the shared values we [The Sophie Theallet Brand] live by”. Even though Theallet recognizes that to weigh in on politics might not be the best move for her business, she urged her fellow designers to follow suit, maintaining that “integrity is our only true currency.”
