Good morning! Bwog once again welcomes the classes of 2025 and 2024 onto campus and hopes that you all have a good NSOP. Here are the highlights for tomorrow—the schedule is more empty of excursions due to the Mets vs. Marlins game at 7:10 pm—hopefully, the Mets don’t lose.
See something wild? Overhear something particularly wacky during NSOP? Tell us, by submitting a tip to tips@bwog.com or via the form on our website.
Today’s Highlights:
- Take Me Out to the Ballgame: Mets vs Marlins: Tonight’s the night! Join your newly found NSOP friends in going to the Mets game at Citifield. First pitch is at 7:10 pm, make sure to bring money for a MetroCard (and food, however be prepared for it to be incredibly overpriced).
- Remember to pick up your Mets tickets from the ramp tables in Lerner and the info booth by Barnard’s main gates between 8 am and 2 pm if you have not already to go to the game!
- Religious Life Open House: Head over to the Dodge Room in Early Hall anytime between 10:15 am to 1:15 pm to learn more about Religious Life at Barnard and Columbia. Students with have the opportunity to meet with campus faith leaders!
- Barnard FLI (First-Generation and/or Low-Income College Student) Welcome Social: Visit the 2nd Floor of the Diana Center from 3 to 4 pm to attend Barnard’s FLI Welcome Social! Students will have the opportunity to meet with current students and administrators to build community and discuss FLI student experiences at Barnard.
One Thing To Do Before Graduating: Make friends with someone who can drive a car and get a Zipcar to just drive away from NYC for the day. You can head up into New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts—the options are endless.
From The Archives: Meet the cast of Barnard’s wild west saloon (laundry room)! Are you an opportunist? A bartender? A drifter? Prepare yourself for the cast of characters you may meet.
