Columbia’s COP30 Priorities

Speakers will focus on finance, food systems, climate extremes, adaption, resilience, and energy. Arsenic Contamination and Community-Based Research

  • In this speaker event hosted by People of the Environment (an undergraduate environmental humanities publication and club), Dr. Benjamin Bostick will discuss agricultural contamination and how communities respond and research. He is a geochemist at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory who studies soil and water dynamics, focusing on metals which affect both human and environmental health.

How does the Geometry of Brain Activity Shape Behavior?

  • Valeria Fascianelli, Alexander Bodini Fellow in Developmental and Adolescent Psychiatry, will present a talk exploring the neural geometry of emotions, highlighting the implications for the brain and how it varies between individuals.
