These East Campus elevators are perpetually down–what is going on with them?

What is wrong with the East Campus elevators?

These elevators never seem to work. 

Last night, both elevators were down

So you had only to walk

UP.

What is wrong with the East Campus elevators?

I text my suite groupchat.

We go back and forth and complain slightly.

“Ugh, this never works.”

What is wrong with the East Campus elevators?

I push onto the elevator,

“Sorry,” I mutter.

There is no space,

I make space.

I am not walking down those steps today.

What is wrong with these elevators?

I am late to class almost every day.

That is probably my fault though….

But who can really say?

What is wrong with the East Campus elevators?

Barely one works at a time.

Maybe one day they will fix it.

But until then,

I must leave earlier.
