He is to be replaced by an artist from last year’s show, Lancey Foux, who previously cancelled.
The British rapper, Fakemink, was selected by the Bacchanal E-Board to headline the 2026 event, supported by indie rock band Slow Pulp. Following digital communication with the E-Board, Bwog has been informed that Fakemink has decided to cancel his performance in response to the student body’s negative reception to his selection.
Bwog asked to speak directly to Fakemink and was given permission to release his official statement on his decision:
“If they’re not going to appreciate my artistry, I’m not pulling up. Like I said, I’m better than every rapper, dead or alive.”
He has informed Bacchanal E-Board officially of his withdrawal from the show and asked that his position be passed to another British artist. Although E-Board did clarify that Fakemink has no authority in that decision, they have been in communication with a backup headliner, who so happens to be British.
Lancey Foux was set to perform at Bacchanal 2025, but on the morning of the event, students were informed of his cancellation due to “unforeseen circumstances.” With his previous communication with Bacchanal E-Board, Bwog was informed that Lancey was the most “feasible choice” as a replacement headliner.
Bwog does not yet have information on Fakemink’s response to this replacement, nor when this information will be released by Bacchanal’s official Instagram account.
