Over the past few years, DWTS became one of the most anticipated reality TV shows. Every season, around 15 celebrities are paired with a professional latin and ballroom dancer and take to the stage. Each season comes with drama, tears, hard work, and a lot of ripped open shirts. But the life-altering question that’s on everyone’s mind is which pros would Columbia and Barnard study spots be paired with on DWTS. Thankfully, I’m here to relieve your stress and answer the question

Butler Library + Jenna Johnson

Butler. The study spot. Out of all the places at Columbia, Butler is the most popular spot to study… so of course it would be partnered with Jenna. Jenna gets a strong partner one season, and a not so great one the next. I mean, she jumped from Joey Graziadei to Corey Feldman to Step Up dancer Harry Shum Jr. 

Milstein Library + Ezra Sosa

Ezra would be partnered with the Milstein Center. Ezra carried in a new, Gen Z and TikTok heavy generation of DWTS. He, being the icon that he is, would match perfectly with the fun, aesthetic, and trendy vibes of Barnard. 

Science and Engineering Library + Rylee Arnold 

The Science and Engineering library would need a big personality pro to bring out their energy (no offense to science or engineering students). Rylee did it once, bringing the stiff and slightly nerdy Stephen Nedoroscik out of his shell and into the DWTS finale, and can do it again with the Science and Engineering Library. 

Li Lu Law Library + Mark Ballas 

Mark Ballas only comes back for the exclusive celebrities. He came back and won with professional dancer, Charlie Damelio, only came back again two seasons later when he was partnered with another dancer, Whitney Leavitt, and is back to be paired with one of his close friends, Maura Higgins, this season. Li Lu Law Library is exclusively for law students. It’s fancy, new, and exclusive; perfect for Mark, who only comes back when someone’s good enough (insult intended). 

Uris Business and Economics Library  + Daniella Karagach

Daniella can make anything and anyone work. She made a 6’5” NBA player into a winner (crazy halloween dance), and is working to utilize paralympian Ezra Frech’s disabilities to his advantage this season. She’s the only pro that can make the Uris library dance. No hate to Uris or the very few econ students in Columbia, but you’d need a Daniella to work around your challenges.

Business Library at Manhattanville + Brandon Armstrong

The Business Library at Manhattanville and Brandon would be a refreshing match. I don’t think Brandon ever fully recovered from his results with Chandler Kinnedy. I know I haven’t. Brandon needs a fresh start. He needs some time away from the rest of the cast, hence the faraway business library.

Low Steps + Britt Stewart 

The Low steps would need to be paired with Britt. The Steps are the picture perfect place to study, have a beautiful aesthetic to them, and are recognizable across the globe. Season after season Britt is paired with stars that just don’t have the potential to win, but that time is over. It’s time Britt gets a partner with potential and the famous Low Steps are just that. 

Music & Arts Library + Jan Ravnik

This one is pretty self explanatory. I mean, Jan was the dancer on T. Swift’s tour.  Jan + Taylor Swift = Music & Arts Library. Maybe someone can bring a ladder into the Library for Jan (IYKYK).

Mathematics Library + Sharna Burgess

The Mathematics Library is small, dusty, and honestly a little hidden. Sharna is an experienced pro making her comeback this season. She’s a little dusty, but knows her way around DWTS. She will be strict, but the Mathematics Library will thrive off her discipline. 

CV Starr East Asian Library + Val Chmerkovsky

Next is Val Chmerkovsky and the CV Starr East Asian Library. When not under construction, the library is elegant, unique, and honestly underrated. Val had one of his best runs last season with Alix Earle (dare I say she deserved to win). Earle started off stiff, but eventually became more comfortable and personable, ending off her run with an incredible freestyle. Val can definitely bring the elegant East Asian Library out of its shell. 

South Lawn + Witney Carson

The South Lawn and Witney Carson would make an insane duo. The South Lawn is the perfect place to study when you want to do some work, but not lock all the way in. Witney is the perfect mix of professional and fun. Not to mention, the South Lawn can get really hot in the spring, just like Witney’s previous partners (ie. Robert Irwin & Danny Amendola). 

Avery + Emma Slater 

Being one of the oldest libraries on campus, Avery would work perfectly with Emma.  All except for two of Emma’s partners have been over the age of 40– and she’s been on the show for 20 seasons. But Emma would do Avery justice. She and Andy Richter took over the internet last season despite Andy being the oldest star that season; if she did it once, Emma can definitely do it again with Avery.
