@daniella okay, I have to interject and say that anyone who thinks that he or she has been satisfying a craving for Vietnamese food by ordering from Saigon Grill is intensely delusional. the owners are Cambodian, not Vietnamese — and yes, there’s a big difference when it comes to food. if Vietnamese cuisine means a lot to you, give up and move to Orange County or Texas. you’re not going to find it here.
(this is not to say that Vietnamese restaurant owners don’t abuse their workers as well — because they do. but good god, at least the food is better than Saigon Grill.)
@Cranky Thank you! Saigon Grill sucks; spread the word.
Also, where the hell does Spectator dig up these opion writers? The one about banning wireless in classrooms was bad enough – and now this. Come on. Enough hating on fun.
@though... For some reason I find it to be the greatest op-ed i’ve ever read in Spec, primarily for its old lady tone.
“So prudes have unwanted ideas imposed upon them, but how can they impose their priggish ideas on nonbelievers? Somehow, a picture of a woman in a turtleneck doesn’t speak all that loudly.”
HOW CAN YOU NOT READ THIS IN YOUR TINIEST OLD LADY VOICE?
Capital show, Spectator!
@eugh I really don’t like that vulgarity op-ed. If she’d made the point that perhaps a group’s message would reach a larger target audience without vulgarity rather than “it’s icky, and I blush,” then she’d have a case for something. The way it’s written just comes off, as, well, short-sighted.
@i wonder in what direction crime trends have been moving on other campuses? A little perspective from the Post? Oh wait…
I mean, a taser?! Like someone is going to break her lock?
