Drinking with Bwog is brought to you by the Columbia Bartending Agency. This week we attempt to pull you out of your midterm graves with a little bit of undead magic. Tonight’s drink was concocted by Elliot Grieco.

A zombie served by a zombie

Ready your shovels. In the spirit of a spooky season, we wanted to share with you a thematic concoction to help make your time in the West Village (or Butler) a bit more riotous. Considering the week of midterm hell many of us just went through, this week’s drink is not only tasty, but emotionally relatable. We give you the Zombie:

Ingredients

  • 1 oz. Light (“Silver”) Rum
  • 1 oz. Dark (“Gold”) Rum
  • 1/2 oz. Spiced Rum
  • 1 oz. Sour Mix
  • 1 oz. Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz. Rose’s Lime Juice
  • OPTIONAL: *Small* splash of Bacardi 151

Directions

The Zombie is a shaken drink. First, fill the shaker with ice, then pour the triplet of rums and juices. Shake well (Thriller-style), serve with ice. For an extra dose of “spiritual” enhancement, add a very small dash of 151 to the top to give the first sip an extra kick. The proper garnish is a cherry and pineapple, but we recommend a gummy worm flag (speared on a toothpick), or some other creepy confection.

As always, drink responsibly. We don’t want your braaaaaaaains to turn to mush.
