Do you have recurring dreams about The Odyssey? Quote St. Augustine when you call home? Routinely make a photo of Hegel your Facebook profile pic? If so, you would be a great applicant for Columbia’s Core Scholars program. To apply, you have to do what is called a Core Reflection. According to the Core Scholars website, a reflection attempts to “explore connections among Core works, and relate the Core to our contemporary world.” This can be anything from a graphic novel to a film to a sculpture to an epic poem. Entries will be accepted from February 1st to April 1st, so put it on a “To Do” list somewhere, along with the linked website. Below, watch Pat Blute’s promo video, which includes Montas and Mercer, as well as some Bwog staffers who should probably stick to their day jobs.
