This is what we think the GSSC constitution looks like.

Happy Wednesday! As usual, Romane Thomas and Jenny Nugent are here to tell you about last night’s GSSC meeting.

Last night, General Studies Student Council met for 25 minutes. Among the highlights: a near impeachment of some council members.

GSSC did not have enough members this week to vote on any motion due to excused (and unexcused) absences. Ten minutes went by before President LaRosa decided to take matters into his own hands and fetch some council members himself. Although he unfortunately came back empty-handed, the council was productive during his absence. Besides updating the council on policy, communication, and student life matters, GSSC took advantage of LaRosa’s absence to organize a coup d’état, which failed when Mike Neier used his superpower (what he calls “knowledge of the constitution”) to thwart the attempt. Some actual GSSC updates:

  • Food bank: GSSC is still waiting for ESC to contact them in order to set up a meeting.
  • Giving Day is coming! If you don’t know what that is, you are not alone.
  • GSSC’s Halloween senior party is this weekend. It’s Gatsby themed – get pumped!
