In case you were planning on taking the subway, keep in mind the MTA has scheduled service changes for a police investigation. Gothamist reports that the police caught 23-year-old triple murder suspect Maksim Gelman this morning at Times Square station after he stabbed a man on the 3 train’s 96th Street stop. Read on for the MTA’s full list of 1/2/3 subway service changes:
Due to a police investigation at the 42nd Street-Times Square Station:
[1] train service is suspended in both directions between the Chambers Street Station and the 96th Street Station.
Downtown [2] trains are running local from the 96th Street Station to the Chambers Street Station.
[3] train service is suspended in both directions between 34th St-Penn Station and the 96th Street Station.
Please expect delays in service on [1], [2] and [3] trains at this time.
