The mysterious figures at the U.S. News & World Report have emerged once more with the rankings that will dominate high school senior’s lives for the next year. Aaaaaaaand….no change! Columbia remains at the comfortable #4 in National University rankings — just like last year — behind Princeton, Harvard, and Yale (although in a shocking twist, Princeton beat Harvard this year for the #1 spot for the first time in a very long time. We’ll leave them to squabble it out for themselves). Here’s the full list to browse through and check out all your friends’ school rankings, which, spoilers!, most likely will not have changed at all. So get over it. Barnard is ranked at #32 in National Liberal Arts Colleges, down from #28 last year.
Here are the top 10 national universities:
1. Princeton
2. Harvard
3. Yale
4. Columbia
5a. Stanford
5b. UChicago
7a. Duke
7b. MIT
7c. UPenn
10. California Institute of Technology

@dartmouth why is uchicago soooo overrated EVERY year? weren’t they tied with us last year?
@Anonymous They work the numbers like Penn and Duke.
@dartmouth for the sake of consistency,
shouldn’t it be:
10a. caltech
10b. dartmouth
@Anonymous I suppose it’s weird to think that Caltech–full of people who study hours and hours a day and completely devote themselves to academics–should be equal in ranking to Dartmouth, where intoxicated hazing seems to be the central activity. (Perhaps my connotation of Dartmouth is wrong, I have no personal experience.)
@Moron Alert At least you recognize that you have no idea what you’re talking about, most people at Columbia just spout nonsense and wholeheartedly believe what they are saying!
@Anonymous You might as well rank MIT and Williams #1 then. They work plenty. The editor likely just left Dartmouth out as an error or because of some bizarre grudge.
@Anonymous We will be ahead of Yale next year. Ironically Princeton gets ten thousand fewer applicants than the other top five schools
@haha barnard. haha
@Kid Whatever, Barnard can claim the #4 spot as well.
@actually no they can’t
@Anonymous At least we’re #1 in the Insufferable Pricks category. ROAR LION ROAR!
@CUATRO fitting that it’s IV
