Today from 4-5 in Held Auditorium (on the third floor of Barnard Hall) there will be a memorial service for Rudi Lawrence, who was, according to one tipster, “an amazing man and well-loved access attendant in Sulz for over seven years.”

Please come and celebrate the life of this WHOLE-HEARTED man. Many of us knew him as the warm, laughing, and talkative individual who held steady at the Sulz entrance most Friday/Saturday nights. He was always down for a conversation. His stories shed light on the wondrous existence he had, and the lessons I learned from him are countless and will continue to illuminate with meaning throughout my life. I know y’all have stories, and I know his residency at Barnard spanned 7+ of students and visitors alike. Would love to see everyone there–and please share the memorial announcement with your people!

If you would like send a note/card to Rudi’s family please give them in person to Barnard Res Life or send them to Annie Aversa (Associate Dean of Residential Life & Housing) at aaversa@barnard.edu. Annie will ensure that his sister gets the notes.
