We seem to be really into making playlists lately. Sorry bout it. However, we know y’all need a good playlist to put on during your NSOP pre-games, so we bring you our official NSOP pre-game playlist! Press play and live your truth.
- Hotline Bling, Drake– We all know how to feels to sit in bed at night and wait for the text saying where the party will be. Just wait for that hotline bling and the night will begin.
- Making the Most of the Night, Carly Rae Jepsen– Aside from this new album being perfect music to bop to before going out, this song reminds you to soak up your new freedom and make the most of your NSOP nights.
- That’s My Best Friend, Tokyo Vanity– This one goes out to your roommate/hallmate/person you met during move-in that you swear is your soulmate. Celebrate your new friendship and cheer on your best friend as they twerk on a Carman wall.
- My Way, Fetty Wap– Trap Queen was so Spring 2015. Throw on this jam and stare into the eyes of a potential bae to secure your first hook up of the year.
- I’m Yours, Justine Skye and Vic Mensa– This is just such a bop. Nothing much else needs to be said.
- What Do You Mean, Justin Bieber– Leave it to the Biebs to remind us just how important consent is during NSOP. Make sure you actually know what your partner means!
- Omen, Disclosure and Sam Smith– If anything, your first night out during NSOP is just an omen for the rest of the week—you’re bound to continue to stumble down Carman’s halls and make bad choices at Cannon’s.
- 212, Azealia Banks– One of the best parts of NSOP is being in New York! 212 never fails to get the group hype and ready to hop on the downtown 1.
- Energy, Drake– Drake explains how those basic girls will act at your turn-up. “I got bitches askin’ me about the code for the Wifi / so they can talk about they timeline / and show me pictures of they friends / just to tell me they ain’t really friends.”
- Run Away With Me (Y2K Remix), Carly Rae Jepsen– We’re just really obsessed with Carly Slay Jepsen and want to spread the queen’s sound.
- Tell Your Friends, The Weeknd– NSOP can be a crucial time to develop your brand/aesthetic on campus. You may have your vices, but embrace them like Abel and make sure the whole campus knows the truth about you.
- 7/11, Beyoncé– The number one rule of NSOP: don’t you drop that alcohol.
- My Neck, My Back, Khia– Perhaps the most empowering song to have going to pump you up for a night of potential hookups. Perfect when you just don’t have the words to explain what you want to do with your NSOP crush.
- Back Up, Dej Loaf and Big Sean– Things are bound to get rowdy during your first pregame. Just tell that fuckboy to back up if he’s trynna and it’s only 10 PM.
- Post To Be, Omarion, Chris Brown, and Jhene Aiko– There are going to be plenty of people who don’t end up where they post to be (their dorm room) at the end of the night.
