Early this morning, Bwog received several tips about ongoing vandalism to the Carman 13 bulletin board. The board’s decorations in honor of Trans Awareness Month have been destroyed a total of four times now. It is unclear how many people are responsible for the vandalism.

In response to the destruction of the first three bulletin boards, the Carman 13 RA sent a message to residents about a new board on which residents could sign their names in solidarity against the previous acts of hate. The entire message is included below.

The new board was subsequently vandalized.

We also received a tip that the Carman 13 RA sent a second message following the most recent vandalism. The post has since been deleted. According to our tipster, the message read:

To those who just tore the NEW bulletin board with people’s signatures on it, know that your actions endanger people’s sense of safety in our community and constitute an act of hate. We will continue to speak up against your actions and we will continue to do so publicly. The board is still up and everyone is still welcome to sign it.

The original board’s decorations are pictured below, along with the new board featuring residents’ signatures.
