Happening in the US: In an attempt to compete with major carriers such as Verizon and AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have announced a $26 billion merger deal, which will effectively liquidate their functions as two independent companies and turn them into one larger corporation, manned by T-Mobile. Will their name be T-Sprint or Sprobile??? (Wall Street Journal)

Happening in NYC: Here is the only news I could find from NYC today: a woman has been arrested after smashing a Popeye’s window in Staten Island after finding out that their $4 Wicked Good Deal did not come with soda. I wish I were kidding. (WRCB)

Happening on Campus: Hoot’s Spring launch is happening today! Come hang with the crew of Columbia/Barnard’s main fashion magazine on Diana Roof at 5:30 PM for a good time. More information can be found on their Facebook event here.

Weather: Cloudy with a high of 54 F / 12 C. Not desirable, but think that it’ll be in the 80s for most of the week!

Artist of the Week: Georgia O’Keeffe. I’m currently writing a paper on Yayoi Kusama and O’Keeffe was such a sweet woman and gave Kusama advice when she wanted to move to New York from Japan to pursue art. Oh, and her art rocks too.
