Happening in the US: The judge in CNN’s lawsuit against the Trump administration has said he will issue a ruling today on whether reporter Jim Acosta unfairly had his White House press credentials removed. Lawyers for Acosta and CNN want the judge to rule the White House’s actions as a violation of Acosta’s First and Fifth Amendment rights.  (CNN)

Happening in NYC: The New York City Council approved spending $60 million on constructing a new animal shelter in the Bronx. The shelter will include housing for cats and dogs, a bird rehabilitation center, animal therapy for seniors, joint programs with local high schools, and community space. (NY Daily News)
