This Senior Wisdom goes to J.A., Orgo Night hall-of-famer and lover of democracy.

Name, School, Major, Hometown: J.A., The College™ (Barnard College, that is), Political Science, Dover, New Jersey

Claim to fame: Former Poet Laureate of the CUMB. I read the Orgo Night script 3 times, including when the band stormed 209. Your favorite local government hoe; The state controls the MTA.

Where are you going? Staying in NYC to propagate my leftist agenda through local government. All views are my own.

What are 3 things you learned at Columbia and would like to share with the Class of 2022?
1. Support survivors.

2. Always insist on doing what you are passionate about, and don’t let anyone tell you it’s a waste of time.

3. Take care of yourself. Ask for the extension. Stress is healthy (sometimes) but don’t let it get in the way of having fun and enjoying college while it lasts.

“Back in my day…” Orgo Night was in Butler 209

What was your favorite class at Columbia? Non-state governance with Professor Moncada, or Problems in International Security with Professor Marten. Not only is the subject matter incredibly interesting but both professors will help you immensely with your writing and are incredibly knowledgeable.

Would you rather give up oral sex or cheese? That’s a tough question. I mean one of them tastes great and the other is cheese.

One thing to do before graduating: Burn an American flag on the sundial in the name of democracy (2016, Colorized).

Any regrets? Trusting Hewitt food.
