Here is a list of places I’ve cried on or near campus, rated but not ranked.
- EC: 4/10. Cursèd energy.
- In front of 1020: 8/10. 1020 has a vibe very conducive to tears.
- In front of Amity: 9/10. Roti Roll is on your way home after you cry.
- Mel’s: 2/10. The kind of people who will point out that you are crying go to Mel’s.
- Beta: 9/10. No one will question why you’re having a full breakdown on the stairs.
- Five Guys: 6/10. An order of medium fries goes well with crying but people will judge you.
- Westside: 5/10. Too cold, judgmental adults.
- My friend Stacey’s room in Hogan: 9/10. If I’m lucky, Stacey will start crying with me.
- My room: 7/10. It depends on who’s here with me and how much food I have in the fridge.
- Low Steps: 6/10. Also has a vibe very conducive to tears, but it’s uncomfortable to sit there for a long time.
- Butler: 2/10. Libraries should be a happy place.
- Milstein: 7/10. Feels more poetic than crying in Butler.
- Carman: 8/10. Chaotic neutral.
- McBain: 1/10. About 4x more cursèd than EC.
- Hartley: 5/10. No one will ask you why you’re crying, but you know they’re thinking it.
- HMart: 8/10. I love Japanese Breakfast.
