- On Wednesday, September 28, from 6 to 7 pm EDT, Womxn in Computer Science (WiCS) will be hosting an interview prep workshop with insights from Google software engineers. The event will take place in Lerner 568. RSVP online.
- On Thursday, September 29, at 6 pm, Columbia Space Initiative (CSI) and Columbia Venture Partners will co-host a panel with Space Capital, a space-focused venture capital group. The event will take place in person in Mudd 833 and on Zoom. Everyone is welcome!

Victoria Murillo, Professor of Political Science and International and Public Affairs, will moderate. This will be a hybrid event on Zoom and in-person in the International Affairs Building Room 802. - Also on Wednesday, September 28, from 6 to 7:30 pm, the Harriman Institute for European Studies will host an evening with Bulgarian novelist Georgi Gospodinov, the Harriman’s Writer in Residence. Gospodinov’s new novel, Time Shelter, was published in English earlier this year to great critical acclaim. Gospodinov will be joined in conversation by Harriman Director Valentina Izmirlieva for a conversation about Time Shelter, memory, loss, and the responsibilities of literature today. The event will take place on the twelfth floor of the International Affairs Building. Online registration is required.
- Also on Wednesday, September 28, from 6:30 to 8 pm, writing professors Margo Jefferson (Journalism ’71) and Deborah Paredez will discuss Jefferson’s new memoir, Constructing a Nervous System. This event will take place at the Lenfest Center for the Arts. Please register online.
- On Thursday, September 29, from 12 to 1 pm, the Center on Global Energy Policy will host the online discussion “Unpacking Republican Energy and Environmental Policy— What is It?” The Center on Global Energy Policy will host a panel of former senior Republican Congressional and Administration officials who will discuss their views. Please register for this online event.
- Also on Thursday, September 29, from 1:15 to 2:15 pm, the Center on Global Energy Policy will be hosting a roundtable discussion, geared at students, with four speakers including James L. Connaughton, former Chairman of the White House Council on Environmental Quality and Kellie Donnelly, former Chief Counsel for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. This event will take place in person at the Center on Global Energy Policy. Please register online.
- Also on Thursday, September 29, from 5 to 7 pm, is The Art of the Latinx Rant, a conversation between Venezuelan-American comedian, writer, and actor Joanna Hausmann and Columbia professor Frances Negron-Muntaner on identity and humor. There will be a reception from 6 to 7 pm following the event in Pulitzer Hall. Please register online.
