Hipkins—who currently serves as the minister for police, education and public service—was the only nominee for the party’s leadership. Happening in the US: Prosecutors claim in a new court filing that Elizabeth Holmes attempted to flee the country following her 2022 conviction. The Theranos founder reportedly bought a one-way ticket to Mexico last January after being convicted of defrauding investors. She would later be sentenced in November to 11 years in prison. Holmes was originally ordered to report to prison on April 27, but is appealing her conviction. (BBC)
Happening in NYC: A man was killed early Friday morning at the 96th Street subway station, according to the NYPD. Police say the 34-year-old victim was shoved onto the tracks following an argument with a 28-year-old man. The victim was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside where he was pronounced dead. The alleged assailant was taken into custody, and charges against him are pending. The victim’s identity has not been released. (NY1)

The Lions are currently tied for the top spot in the Ivy League with Penn and have a 15–3 record.
